EDUCATION
Chatham Middle School Garden
CACC coordinates the Chatham Middle School Garden, now in its fourth season. We work together with school administrators and faculty, staff and students. By growing food for themselves and for the larger community, the children recognize and appreciate the land as the source of our food, and nature as the source of life. They learn about food production, diversity, natural limits, and interdependence while enjoying both their labors and the fruits of their labors....

The Chatham Middle School Garden is a project of Community Agriculture of Columbia County, an educational non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening our rural community and local economy by working toward a more localized food system in our county in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. |
